- Confirm the details - when, where, and what to bring
- Meet and inspect the item before paying
- Complete payment as agreed (cash or other method)

- Let someone know where you're going
- Bring the agreed payment amount
- Have your phone charged
During collection
- Inspect the item thoroughly
- Test it if possible (electronics, vehicles, etc.)
- Ask questions about any concerns
- Only pay if you're satisfied
After collection
- Leave a review for the seller
- Report any issues immediately
Choosing a meeting place
Consider meeting:
- In a public, well-lit area
- During daylight hours
- At the seller's home if you're comfortable
- At a local landmark or parking area
For valuable items, some police stations offer safe exchange zones.
