Buying

How do I pay?

Understanding how payments work on Biegha.

Important: Biegha does not process payments between buyers and sellers. All transactions are arranged directly between you and the seller.

How payments work

  1. You and the seller agree on a price
  2. You arrange the payment method
  3. You pay the seller directly when collecting the item

Common payment methods

Cash

The most common method for local transactions:

  • Bring exact amount when possible
  • Count it together at collection
  • Get a receipt for expensive items

Bank transfer

Some sellers accept bank transfer:

  • Agree on timing (before or at collection)
  • Verify the seller's account details
  • Keep proof of payment

Mobile payment apps

Revolut, PayPal, or other apps:

  • Agree on the method beforehand
  • Complete transfer at collection
  • Verify payment received before leaving

Payment safety tips

  • Never send money before seeing the item
  • Don't use wire transfers or gift cards
  • Meet in person to complete transactions
  • Be cautious of unusual payment requests

What Biegha charges for

While marketplace transactions are between you and the seller, Biegha does charge for:

  • Boost - Promoting your listings (sellers)
  • Boost Plus - Monthly subscription for enhanced visibility (sellers)

These are separate from item payments and are paid directly to Biegha.

Disputes

If you have a payment dispute with a seller:

  • Try to resolve it directly first
  • Contact Biegha support if needed
  • Consider your payment method's protections
