A counter-offer is when a seller (or buyer) responds to an offer with a different price instead of simply accepting or declining.
How counter-offers work
- Buyer makes an offer
- Seller counters with a different price
- Buyer can accept, decline, or counter again
- Process continues until agreement or walk-away
Receiving a counter-offer
When you receive a counter:
- You'll be notified
- The conversation shows the counter amount
- You can respond with your decision
Responding to counters
You have three options:

Agree to the counter-price. This creates a reservation.

Reject the counter. You can make a new offer or move on.
Counter again
Suggest a different price between your offer and theirs.
